15% off Points & Cash Award
The Points & Cash discount is valid for awards between January 1 – February 29, 2024.
Note that IHG merely sells you the points that you can use to redeem the stay at the full points rate. If you later cancel this reservation, the points are credited back to your account, including those that you purchased. The points purchase transaction cannot be reversed.
It is likely a better deal for you to buy the points at a 100% bonus than using this Points & Cash option, which can be useful if you have exceeded the yearly buy points limit.
25% Merchandise Discount
IHG One Rewards members can use their points towards merchandise rewards in select markets, and some of these are discounted by up to 25%.
Conclusion
The Points & Cash allow you to bypass the yearly buy points limit because, essentially, IHG sells you points during the booking process (many confuse this with true points & cash that Marriott or Hyatt offers).
The 20% discount for app bookings is not great, as sales outside of the Americas often offer a more significant discount, but it is worth checking the prices.
You can use your IHG points towards merchandise that generally only makes sense if you don’t see ever using your points for hotel stays.

Cyber Sale Promotion Rate
The IHG Hotels & Resorts Cyber Sale promotional rate is valid only for bookings made from November 20 to November 28, 2023 in the US, Canada and Mexico, Latin America and Caribbean and November 21 – 28, 2023 across other regions (“Booking Dates”). For stays at participating IHG hotels between November 23, 2023 – April 30, 2024 in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America, the Caribbean, East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. For stays at participating IHG hotels between November 24, 2023 – March 31, 2024 across Europe and Greater China. The Cyber Sale Rate includes a minimum public discount of 10% off the hotel’s Best Flexible Rate (BFR), excluding Greater China with a minimum public discount of 7%. The BFR rate is an unrestricted, non-qualified, non-discounted rate.
